Commanding position!

This amazing view of the sea approach to Mahon, was taken, from the Fortress La Mola. This huge military, 19th century installation, was constructed, by the British and the Spanish, to protect and defend Mahon from foreign attackers.

Luckily today, most visitors arrive peacefully....by air!
