Hoverfly

Not the BLIP I'd intended today.

This morning I erected a scaffolding tower to the side of the house in order to paint an upstairs window. Once it was up I decided that would be my Blip, but on the way out with my camera I spotted this Goldenrod which was covered with hoverflies.

Anyway I pointed the camera and took a few close ups, without too much success as the wind was blowing the flower heads about, making focussing difficult.

Back on the computer I was relatively surprised to find I'd got one reasonable shot and decided to go with that.

Scaffold tomorrow.
