Doris makes waves

Very windy this morning and luckily a huge squall passed over before I had to get on my bike to cycle to work. There was lots of debris from trees on the road. 

Managed a walk against the wind at lunchtime. The campus lake, usually flat and tranquil, had significant waves on it and the gulls were bobbing up and down. 

Book group at my house in the evening. Nice to see everyone as it was our first meeting since Christmas. We did talk a bit about the book, The Girl on the Train, but also got drinking, eating and chatting done as well. 

Bed just before midnight and no packing done for my trip tomorrow.
