Where , Why ...?

You can spend ages wondering what your daily picture  should be - as I did walking back to my flat across the city tonight after dinner with my colleague and friend Fiona Hyslop - only to be confronted with a compelling  image suddenly and out of nowhere 

Thus this Japanese or Chinese playing card spotted abandoned on the pavement in Royal Terrace this evening,  Where did it come from and why is it here ?

Questions worthy of a short story at the very least.
