Coot Comedy

I know there are more comical birds around but these American coots (Fulica americana) come very close to being the funniest around here.  For starters, they always seem to travel in a tight little group and then they all appear to do the same thing at the same time.  "Everybody head down!  Okay, everybody head up!  Good.  Now let's all run to the right!  Now let's all run to the left!  Uh Oh, somebody's coming -- everybody head for the water!"  They're always good for a laugh.
