Two Boats, Several Birds, and a School

6.6C and fairly dull. Dry. Light then moderate E/ENE breeze.

This is one of the odd Friday's that Apothecary7 goes into work for 7am. Maeve the Deerhound and I got up when she did, and we went for out walk. Maeve used four legs. Phew !

Salmon fishcakes and a half Salmon Scotch egg from the fish shop this morning.
Then I took Maeve for another short walk.

After lunch I went for a walk out to the shipyard. The lifeboat was slowly sailing in and out of the harbour. Raba was at the new quay, on the linkspan side, taking on wood. A fishing boat (CN 942) came in across the loch as another (the black and white) was sailing around outside the harbour (I assume testing engines).

I came back from the shipyard, went round to the harbour, then came back home though town.

Update on the Fire Engine incident I saw on Monday. The man you can see on the top of the roof in the photo,  and who lives in the end flat, had been up on the roof making repairs when he lost his nerve and couldn't move. Help was summoned and he was brought safely down.
