Peace reigns at last

JJ had his wires crossed regarding lunch for the grandchildren today and true to form forgot to take his mobile phone with him when he went to watch them play football this morning.  Fortunately I can always improvise, but not with good grace.

After lunch he decided to take them to the playing field for another kick-about and was late getting back, meaning he got them back to their mother later than planned and our son and his partner had to catch a later train to London than intended.  He is not in my good books.

It was an extremely slippery walk this morning after yesterday's rain and I've even managed a bit of weeding in the front garden and cut back the hydrangeas.  It's been a really spring-like day.
