Diary of an Edinburgher

Lazy Saturday

A very very lazy day. Saturday morning is just no good for the gym or the pool - it's mobbed. So I snoozed until I had to get up as Archie MUST have needed out by mid morning...

A dreich day, but not wet, fortunately, so Elizabeth came and took him out as usual. She tried to trick him by coming from the other side of the road, but he spotted her from his perch by the window and went crazy.

Janet came round as Bailey was out with her walkers. We had intended watching a film, but my wifi sometimes doesn't work too well when I link from the iPad to the TV, so we gave up and watched a couple of recorded programmes instead. One that I have kept about the old lady who tried to restore an old fresco of Jesus, Ecce Homo. After the initial horror and outrage at what she had done, tourists flocked to see her efforts, and she became famous and the town benefitted. Good story.

Archie spent most of the day covered in mud, as I saw when I looked through Elizabeth's photos to find a not-too-muddy-one to be blipped, (but he always comes home clean and dry).

Fortunately these tulips are just at their best and demanded to be blipped.
