Bebek, Istanbul

Wonderful Spring weather today. One of those days that makes you feel glad to be alive. 'bout time too. It has been a long and dark winter. 

To celebrate in Istanbul style, this afternoon I promenaded, with many other folk,  the shore front of our beautiful blue Bosphorus as far as Bebek - which was far too crowded for its narrow streets and my comfort zone - so found a water side cafe with an empty table in the sunshine, had a goats cheese and walnut salad, and then walked home again. (Just 6.5km) 

Of all the photos I took, I am deliberately choosing a people-free image of the Bosphorus at her most utterly beautiful blue.
