Out and about...

.... in Istanbul.  Today I joined the merry throng, with Robin, out and about in Istanbul on this truly glorious Sunny Sunday.  We crossed the beautiful blue Bosphorus from Europe to Asia twice - the ferry from Besiktas to Uskadar (main photo) - and back again after a stroll and brunch, in all walked almost 13,000 steps (8.5km), took two bus rides (to Besiktas and back again via a different route), and a third boat trip, this time from Ortakoy to the second bridge (extra photos) passing by the school campus on high - you can just see the school buildings and the edge of the plateau where so many of my Blips have been taken, before finally taking an early evening  taxi back to campus and to join some 15-20 neighbour-colleague-friends for the first of the season's weekly 'Fish-and-other-delicious-foodstuffs-grill' in the gardens.  Now that's  what Sundays are for.
