Ghost sign

A ghost sign in Henderson Row. Mostly unreadable but the words "Baker" and "Confectioner" stand out.

Whenever I think of old time bakers I think of a previous owner of the shop my parents used to have. Legend has it that if any bread went unsold on any particular day, he would take it to bed with him so that it would be warm the next morning, thus appearing fresh to the unwary shopper. Clever!
