Guardian of the Bridge.

Self appointed and very diligent.

Most ducks paddle or swim across the creek but not this one. For no reason I could see, she was reluctant  to let me onto her bridge. When I insisted and came almost within touching distance, she would waddle a few steps forward then stop to watch my next move. Meanwhile, all the other ducks swam happily around under the bridge.

This was all I found to photograph  in a very brief visit to Sanctuary Ponds.
