Arriving

Left our house in Edinburgh at 4pm yesterday arrived in the base camp in Johannesburg after 6pm today after more than 24 hours of travelling. If I hadn't been so exhausted I might have hunted for my camera to take a few photos of the sunset as we drove from the airport. Africa is stunning.

We are staying at headquarters of the charity JAM (Joint Aid Management). There are a team of 7 of us spending the next few days doing the renovation work for the child day centre. This is a quick shot at the base when we arrived. The people here are absolutely lovely.

I have however have no idea what day it is anymore. Or year. Must sleep.
