D'arcy the Dog.....

This is D'arcy the hound dog, one of two ceramic dogs I bought from Jenny, the Motueka sculptor, in January. D'arcy's special spot is at the foot of the flowering cherry tree in our garden.
It is most upsetting to see the devastation caused by dreadful weather in the top of the North Island over the last day or so. And the bad weather is not yet over for that area. Rain is forecast for Marlborough over the weekend and that is a big worry for vineyard owners whose grapes are coming up for harvest in the next few weeks.
