Coming down the track - slowly

I pass through Winslow regularly and this morning I stopped and photographed the railway line. As you can see it is not in use but is part of the East West Rail Link project, linking Oxford and Cambridge.

The line was active from 1850 to 30 Dec. 1967.

Next to the line is the site for the new station, purchased by Bucks CC for some £900,000. The proposal is for trains to be running on part of the route by 2019, I shall be watching with interest.
