Tupholme Abbey
Getting a little stir crazy. So wrapped up warm and was escorted on a little photographic expedition into West Lindsey.
I had picked up a number of brochures for different places in Lincolnshire. Tupholme Abbey won, such a beautiful day the ruins really stood out against the bright blue spring sky., Got a few shots with the wide angle lens that I am quite pleased with. I really loved this one because if has all the ruins in it.
Lot of activity in the sky to see from here as well. Red Arrows were practising nearer to Lincoln, and we saw several planes leaving and returning to Coningsby..
We were so near we also decided to take in Bardney Abbey. What an interesting place, you have to drive through a farm yard to get to it and are greeted by a wooden monk who is quite startling when you first see him as he is life size. Mr travel friend said it reminded him of an episode of doctor who where life size angel statues came o life when you weren't looking at them. He was a bit creepy to be honest.
I was lovely to be out and about. But better still to feel well and truly on the mend.
