Ring Them Bells

I needed to get some photos of our bells for next year's calendar. At practice I climbed over the frame and up the ladder to the platform above the bells.

Once in position I donned my ear defenders and the team in the ringing chamber below rang the bells up. The bells have to be in the up position before they can be rung. Ringing them up and down is a skill that has to be developed.

I took this photo of our two new shiny trebles on my phone. I haven't yet downloaded the photos from my camera that will be used in the calendar.

We were very short of numbers at practice. We did rounds, call changes and plain hunt. I had a go at calling the changes managing to get from Queens to Tittums and Whittington without any errors. I think our teachers were quite impressed as they didn't say anything when I finished. Always a good sign.
