Bald Eagle

Bells and Beer

Again this morning we managed to get all 10 bells ringing albeit with the help of a couple of our mentors from neighbouring towers. We did a longish stint of call changes that went well. In fact we had a message via Twitter from a neighbour to say how delightful the bells sounded. We will take that!

I took some exterior shots of the church and the tower to go along with the ones of the bells that I took on Thursday. We hope will be used in next year's Ringing World calendar. It is being sponsored by the Central Council of Bellringers and they want to include all the projects which they have supported.

NM and I then headed out for a 5 mile walk. It seems ages since we last ventured out. The walk took us around the outside of Dunham Massey and then through the deer park before joining the Bridgewater Canal and back to the car. The morning sun gave way to heavy grey skies but thankfully only a little light rain. Not enough to spoil our walk.

Just before we entered the deer park we made a slight detour to the Dunham Massey brewery. Not a lot was happening there and I did not sample their wares as I have given up for Lent.

This is a picture of the sawmill at Dunham Massey.
