Frequency illusion

Stanford linguistics professor Arnold Zwicky coined the term 'frequency illusion' in 2006 to describe the syndrome in which a concept or thing you just found out about suddenly seems to crop up everywhere. It is more commonly known as the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.

OK so Planes Trains and Automobiles isn't a new concept to me but when I opened at random a 1991 issue of the Architectural Review and came across this page (having very recently and separately blipped trains, planes and automobiles) I was reminded of Zwicky's frequency illusion theory.

I guess its more like serendipity really.
