WELCOME AUTUMN:

Show day yesterday was wonderful but very hot. I didn't go today because I find standing around talking, is very taxing. (It's an age thing !) fine if I have something to lean on, but standing in the one spot - I can't cope with. And the problem is, you see so many friends you haven't seen for ages, & they all want to talk - weather, health, family. So I stayed at home, constantly shifted the hose, watered the roses & happily weeded.
This is a scene you have seen many times but the maples, hostas & hydrangeas keep changing colour & I never tire of them. Nature is wonderful. It is just out from the kitchen window, with a peep of the driveway on the right.
