Today in the ballet waiting room one of the mums was busily cutting lengths of ribbon. I had to ask what she was doing. She is the manager of a local community centre and they are taking part in the Million Stars Project. It is raising awareness of violence against women by encouraging people to get together and talk while weaving stars. They will form an art installation on the Gold Coast for next year's Commonwealth Games. Using YouTube we managed to make these three. While they are lovely we were grateful that the ballet teachers didn't see them and think them a great idea for stage decorations.
