My Silver Jubilee!

had a monster lie in. can't believe i slept until the clock said 8-something! must be all the sleep debt i've accrued.

i remembered this day, 25 years ago. my first day at work. i'd never been to Ripley, which was my first branch, so when i got on the bus i asked the conductor (in those days!) to tell me when we'd reached Ripley!! (it's only six miles - i could run that now!)

how those days were fun, Mrs Lomax, the best supervisor there ever was, Sal Lav the assistant, and Clare Quarmby, the junior, or super-junior, as i now replaced her!

how time flies, and fast foward 25 years!

had a lazy morning, then off to visit a good friend for a few hours. back home to the celebrity jungle, took out a couple of snakes and found a giraffe! actually, i mowed/strimmed/mowed my lawn for 2 hours, whilst my beautiful roast beef joint slowly cooked. first proper roast beef dinner i've had in ages, made better by these gorgeous baby broad beans picked from my jungle. perfection!

caught up on the Belgian Grand Prix, over the moon for JB, but down in the mouth for Lewis.

had the absolute pleasure of speaking to Mrs Lomax tonight, on my 25 anniversary!! 25 year eh......
