Crowden

I managed to get out in good weather conditions for a proper walk this afternoon at Crowden in Longdendale. A circuit from the car park past Derbyshire Wildlife Trust site Brockholes Wood at the side of Crowden Great Brook crossing over to the Pennine Way for the return.  A Kestral was hovering and a Raven flew over 'gronking'

There were no early migrants to see so ther highlights were this friendly Pied Wagtail and woodpeckers at the campsite.  A record shot of Green Woodpecker as an extra.  A second extra photo shows the landscape that Crowden Great Brook runs through. The Pennine way goes over the left horizon (in shadow)
