The Littlest Artist

A serendipitous companion to The Littlest Birdwatcher from a few days ago. We were at the Musée d'Orsay, the made-over railroad station which now houses the French national collection of impressionist and post-impressionist art. We had not been for a while, and I was again bowled over by how wonderful and comprehensive it is. Our guests Laura and Eric accompanied us (not incidentally Eric is an artist as well :)

The extra shows work on the house next to us--the worker is grinding the exterior, perhaps preparing to apply some stucco or such. The work on the house began at least  15 months ago--we hope it will be done by our return to Paris next year. 

Posted next day--we had a late dinner out.
