Glorious

Last time we were at the bird lake the ice was thick, people were skating on it and there wasn't a bird in sight. AND the picnic spot was taken. Today, there were big stretches of open water filled with swans, geese and even a few ducks, probably having a rest stop on their way north.

We were going somewhere else for walkies but ended up here instead. As a result, we hadn't brought a picnic which was too bad because the picnic spot was free and it was a lovely early spring/late winter's day. You can see it in the distance, by the big rock. Instead, we went on following the shoreline, bird spotting, and then went out into the fields. I had such a good time running and running! I am making the most of it, soon I will have to be on my lead or running line. Grr.
