Diary of an Edinburgher

Ear ear!

Aquafit and the gym this morning. The pool is still very cool, which is unpleasant and doesn't seem to inspire me do more vigorous exercise to warm up.

A few slight improvements:
I can now walk up and down the gym steps one foot after the other, though I have to be careful and hang on.
I had a go on the bike, and with lots of wobbling from side to side, could make it right round. Several times.
I have gone out with the dog several mornings without my walking stick. Though I hirple along, and if he doesn't perform right away, and I have to walk further, I always regret not bringing it.

While I was at the gym and JR was in the shower, what did young Archie get up to? He jumped up on the bed and chewed JR's earplugs which had been carelessly left there. Naughty boy!

JR took Archie out about midday, setting off to walk all the way up Blackford Hill. But the rains came. And in fact, hail at one point. Nice. They both came back drookit.

While they were out, I spent ages on the phone, enquiring about broadband/TV/phone deals. My long term supplier seems to think buffering is just to be put up with. Their advice over the years? Unplug the router and plug it in again. However, this time they're sending me a new router, so I stayed with them - too much bloomin' bother!

But I did research (i.e. asked my pal, who has one, and enthuses about it) about the NOW TV Box, so one is wending its way to me as we speak. I'll be able to get Sky Atlantic!

This afternoon, I noticed him noticing the (new) earplugs carelessly left on the sofa... so a photo was in order. But he won't get a chance to chew these ones. Will he, JR?
