Party time

My little lovelies ready for Martha's bday party.

Woke up to horrible news that our garage was broken into last night. They've used a crow bar to force the lock. Obviously tried to get mike's bike but couldn't as it's too well secured so took a load of power tools instead and threw a load of stuff off the shelves. Is a horrible feeling they may be back with tools to get the bikes. Mike has spent the day re-enforcing the door, fitting security lights and an alarm. The dogs will be sleeping at the back of the house from now on. They will definitely alert us if anyone comes into the garden as Neil popped round to check things today for us while we were out and he said the dogs went nuts. Just feel so angry that someone has been onto our property. And doesn't feel like a coincidence that it's a week after M got his bike. B@stards. So spent the whole day feeling jittery and agitated and just down right mad!!

I had to work this morning, the kids had tennis and also the weighbridge came to the yard so a lot going on. We've collected the work van from the garage so got a whopping bill for a new timing chain, plus there is something else needs doing on it, plus it needed a new tyre as the back one  had worn through on the rim so had to be sorted today. So that,coupled with the bill to hire a van for the week, means we worked for nothing last week. Still waiting for the police to ring us back. Lime has put on 70kg since October so i have to talk to the other owners about reducing the hay (he's not the only fatty in that field). Just a generally shitty day. At least i have these two to make me smile and the party was really good!! If they had taken the bikes it would have been a whole lot worse.
