We are really beginning to get some color in the garden and I hope it lasts. 
it looks like being a good week.

Had two surprise visitors this afternoon which was very nice indeed, one from Tennessee who married a student of B's years ago and the other a (sort of) retired fish paleontologist whom we hadn't seen in years. A very pleasant afternoon.
