Course 2

Of a magnificent 5 course dinner at Daalder with bonus amuse bouche and really 2 desserts so actually 7. And all a surprise. Remarkably relaxing not making any menu choices, especially after the first couple had come and we were confident of the quality.

Earlier there had been some rainy wandering around markets and to finding a splendid lunch spot* which in all rights should have been the blip, not least for the hanging monkey lamps.

Following lunch there was wandering around the Jordaan and the Nine Streets and a suitable amount of shopping.

Back to the apartment for a small relax, communal effort on the New Statesman cryptic crossword before the splendid dinner.
