Not just a bed of roses...

Today I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do.  Looked at Markus's second challenge which is Double exposure/Image overlay.  I wanted something different.  After a walk in the rain I wanted to stay indoors.  And I wanted to use the lovely roses our guests brought on Friday!!  Then , as Ro is out at Football I watched a program about Mondrian who at one point uses matchsticks to workout his theories on art.  Went to the kitchen cupboard and there were the cocktail sticks!
