Derelict Sunday

We took a drive down to my husbands work site to see whether I could find something derelict.  This is a rather tongue in cheek comment as the yard is a graveyard of old and derelict!  

The hubster has worked for this trucking company almost 33 years and the truck featured is not only one of the ones he drove many years ago, but one he also painted and did the body work on.  Again, a very l o n g time ago.  

A few weeks ago he had a rather close call when the semi-truck he was driving in caught fire.  (I have a few pics now that one of the other drivers who was just 5 minutes behind managed to take.)  Thankfully the hubster managed to get out safely and the trailer was saved thanks to the fire department, but it gave us all a good scare.  Life is precious, so love the ones you've been given.  We just never know when our time is up.
