Blackthorn

The blackthorn blossom is at its absolute peak at the moment, foaming over the hills and down to the stream.  I don't think I've ever seen it look better so I had to post one more shot of it, in celebration!  Perhaps this year there will actually be some sloes.  There were none last autumn and we therefore missed out on making sloe gin for Christmas  :(

Thank you all so much for welcoming Hazel yesterday.  We have informed her she is a blip star, having made it to page one of the pops.  Let's hope it doesn't turn her into a princess.
