Mattress Takeaway

Two  Propreté workers are removing large items left on Rue de Tolbiac for disposal. Paris trash removal service is simply called  Propreté, which means simply "cleanliness" (or "cleaning") in French, and the employees always wear these bright outfits. 

I was returning from our Carrefour supermarket, and after turning down Passage Foubert I saw a two pigeon faceoff in the extra, between a wood pigeon and a rock dove or "ordinary" pigeon. The latter would not let the wood pigeon (though considerably larger) have the cracker; in fact both lost interest after a minute or so.
