Stone sculpture of a tree

This unique stone sculpture is in the centre of Lahti, a town in southern Finland, which lies on the shore of Vesijärvi. At first I thought it was a significant dead tree that had been preserved.

Lahti has a population of 100,000 making it the 7th largest city in Finland by population. It is also home to Finland's greatest Fitness Exhibition which I will be attending this weekend.
