Abstract Thursday - Rhythmns
Normally we look for rhythms in the natural world and exaggerate or multiply these patterns to create abstractions so I wondered about trying to reverse the process and to apply a pattern of man-made rhythms as a grid to view the natural world. I started off with a photo of the pedestrian bridge that straddles the river Bielwater and then using the find edge filter created a graph grid from the patterns of the bridge to fill the whole screen. I reduced the opacity of the grid to let the normal image come through but found that I needed to saturate the original in order for the background image to be apparent. Basically just a bit of photoshop faffery with a not very artistic end product
