Why can't they stand still?

The main shot is not my best photo - the extra one is better - but it did make me smile when I saw it in the computer.  I can just hear the robin saying "you are not taking my photo, go away" ;-)

The robin may, of course, have been talking to the herons.  The herons were all hiding in inaccessible places today, with no chance of photographing them.  I suspect they saw the photos of them eating frogs on Blip and Stockport Nature Watch and decided that they'd had enough of the paparazzi ;-)

The weather was great today and I was really tempted to get in the car and just head off into the Peak District.  But I've already planned a rather long walk for Saturday when the weather could well be even better.  So I've had to manage with just the walk to the park today - which did end up being about 5 miles because it was so nice that I took the scenic route home :-)
