Robin - the gatekeeper

The Robin that lives in the trees at the farm entrance often comes to say hello to anyone passing but today he seemed to have a new job.

I got the feeling he was demanding a toll from all who wanted to use the gate.  At the farm a helicopter (Extra photo) parked overnight in a remarkably small area.  There were already 2 helicopter in the air (Extra photo)and the ground crew had arrived to start work.  They are reseeding the moorland to make it more stable ( and beautiful )

A lovely warm day - I set off thinking it was cold and was soon too warm.  Skylarks were singing on the moorland and the birds are paired up already.   Snipe calling out in competition
