Daycation

Having had some prior warning about how nice the weather was going to be today, we decided to make the most of my 1 day weekend and take a day trip. I fancied doing another (more picturesque) section of the fife coastal path, so we drove out to the east neuk. Started off at St Monans, stopped off in Pittenweem (extra 1) for lunch and some ice cream, absolutely necessary on a day like today! A lot of houses in Pittenweem seem to have these decorated bicycles out the front, they're really cute! Next stretch was along to Anstruther, didn't stop for long though, carried on through to Crail (extra 2) by which point we were pretty tired! It's always the way with the first proper sun of the year, I end up overdoing it, although there are worse things than overdosing on vitamin D! Treated ourselves to coffee and cake with a sea view, before heading back to St Monans by bus. Fish and chips in Anstruther finished off a lovely day. So lucky that we have so many nice places to explore within an hour or so.
