Stunning

We travelled by bus along the coast back to Málaga this morning and have joined six friends from London and Brighton for a week-long Spanish language course.

We are all staying in what has turned out to be the most amazing apartment I've ever had the pleasure of spending time in.

It's an Airbnb rental with a difference, for this is a massive five-bedroom, €1 million penthouse apartment overlooking the Malagueta bullring and the city's marina.

It goes without saying that the views are incredible. But what is also particularly lovely is that the lady doctor who owns this place, who has a keen interest in art and music, has kept her extensive collection of paintings in situ specifically for guests to enjoy. There is also a piano, on which one friend is playing Chopin as I write this.

I think it will be truly memorable staying a week in this wonderful place.

(Incidentally, although the bullring is a spectacular sight, I'm no fan of bullfighting. However, the season doesn't start until April, so we will be spared any unpleasant sights from our windows.)
