After the Rain

After two days of rain it was nice to get out for a walk.
Without the traditional arch, this was not so much a 'rainbow' as a 'rainglow' in the sky.

In the extras is the praying mantis I though had been eaten by the fantails. It is easy to recognise by the black mark on the body. It was back in position on the same flax leaf that I found on originally.  So pleased it survived but now I am wondering why the tightly tucked up front legs and the antennae  folded back under the body.
