Kurashiki

An enjoyable day spent in Kurashiki,  a city with a lovely historical quarter and preserved canal area. 

Kurashiki is roughly translated as 'town of storehouses.'  Today those storehouses have been converted into museums, boutiques and cafes.

An easy place to spend a few hours despite the rain - which kept some of the tourists at bay.
