Afternoon tea

This morning was spent tidying and hoovering and generally making sure that the house was presentable for this afternoon's visitors.

Mum's friends, John and Brenda, came to see us. We have known them for a few years, both through music concerts in Corbridge and painting courses at Higham Hall. Both have been widowed in the last 2 years.

Mum had baked scones and fairy cakes so we had an old fashioned tea and lots of chat. It was very pleasant and the sunshine was a bonus.

Here is John enjoying his ride downstairs at the end of the afternoon. (We have an upside down house). Mum has already descended and is sitting on the seat of her walker.

I have some lovely pictures of the three of them but I liked this image best of all.
