William and his human

Here is another in my (very) occasional series of dogs and their people.

Jane and Ivan came to see us this morning. We enjoyed coffee and chat (plus some of Mum's scones and cakes). We didn't realise that William was in the car all the time, so we were glad to see him for a few minutes before they left us. William is a cross between a Yorkshire terrier, a springer spaniel and something else. He is such a cute little boy and enjoyed the fuss. He is clearly besotted iwth Ivan, but apparently more so with Jane.

The carpet fitter arrived this morning. We expected him later in the day, but I did not let him go once he was here! We now have lovely washable floor coverings in the conservatory and the utility rooms.

This afternoon, Zoe and I practised our ball skills in the woods at Acomb. The wood anemones are out so there is a carpet of white and green. Zoe seems to sprint faster every time we go. It was teeshirt weather too.

Off to see The Olive Tree, a Spanish language film with subtitles tonight.
