Progress

Another cheat on the photograph today - I took this yesterday.  Progress is coming in the form of 'super fast' internet in the local area, these cables have been sitting by the side of the road for at least three months, so I don't think the installation is exactly 'super fast'.  However, internet here is pretty atrocious, so everyone is pretty happy. 

Sad day today as the council run playgroup we go to on a Monday had it's last ever session, the council has had it's budget cut by something crazy like 70% and so have shut the majority of children's groups in the area.  They are turning the centre into a 'hub' that will be used by Social Workers and those who have children needing special services.  It's a great shame.  The staff - who have all lost their jobs (and found new ones), made a great effort today with lots of things for the children to do and way too much sugar at snack time - they did bring out normal healthy snacks before wheeling out the cakes.  We're now on the look out for what to do on a Monday, as are some lovely friends I've made at the group, so if all else fails, it'll be a trip to the park for all of us.
