Birthday morning visitors
Today is my 72nd birthday. (how in the world did 72 years fly by so fast?) I spent it putting stuff away at our cabin - the Alden rowing shell is now also tucked away in the boatshed and when we left at 4 PM, there was not a boat on our dock or even in sight. Truly the end of summer. Home at 9:30 PM. I did not see a person I knew all day long (except H of course), but I feel so blessed with all the messages, cards, gifts in the mail and the mailbox, and granddaughter videos waiting for me at home. We'll do some celebrating this week....:-)
I briefly considered trying for some "creative" SP blip, but couldn't resist this backlit pair out the back door this morning. ( I can always find myself, and I won't see these in Seattle!) Plus, there's a mini series going on here: On Sat I blipped the mother and baby Orca whale. Monday I linked to the blipfolio pix of the Mother seal and her pup (altho the photo was of a father and son!) Not too long ago I blipped the mother raccoon and her babies. And here you have the blacktailed mother deer and her faun, rummaging in my garden and drinking from my birdbath.
A nice day.
I'm happy to be home and finally connected to some decent internet so plan to LOOK at a lot of blips in the next few days to catch up. Hurray!
