Drying Out.......

......This is just down the bottom of our place......things are drying out a bit today ......and (at times) has been sunny and gorgeous after the rains...not too hot or humid either.

There are a lot of folk who have lost everything...homeless now...the nights are chilly and damp.......we whipped around this morning for some spare blankets towels and cloths which Jaiya delivered to the church there are folk there who are holed up for the duration.

The clean up is going to be massive and some have likened it to Katrina...it seems that our town was the worse hit even though Lismore copped it really bad and is apparently starting to smell.

We are in for more rain in the coming week or so but we are enjoying the sun whilst its out and the local Supermarket is open tomorrow for the first time in 4 -5 days...we will be stocking up..(like most other folk from the town .......its going to be mayhem)........they have a captive audience as we are still cut off from leaving the area...well I think we can go but we cannot get back.

The community has been awesome........however there are a few rotten people who are apparently going around taking things from houses that have been evacuated...the town is in an uproar about them...I wouldn't want to be one of those plonkers getting caught that's for sure.

Casualties are climbing and some are missing.
Cows ....horses....donkeys...goats ....chickens are wandering (or floating) around...its all a bit heartbreaking really.
