Anemonella

I bought this at a plant fair a few years ago and every spring it surprises me with these delicate pink flowers. And then it keeps going for a couple of months before going to sleep as the rest of the garden gets going.

Traditional end of term mum's lunch today - always a very civilized way to kick off the holidays. Then a marathon session in the garden planting and mowing and more general tidying. 

Both boys decided they'd be 'out' in the evening so W and I decided to celebrate an evening a deux and dig out a bottle of Cava to perk up the Fridge Friday Leftovers (any excuse!)
