Brackets

Being the first Saturday of the month it was 1Day12Pics so W and I decided to tick off the first few with a camera-walk through the woods. These tiny bracket fungi were growing on the sawn off end of a branch only a few centimetres across. The walk of course took far longer when we were stopping every so often to take pictures so it ended up being a high speed yomp to get back in time for the Ocado man.

April kicked off in unusually (for recent years) traditional fashion with on-off heavy showers in the afternoon. Gardening ambitions being temporarily frustrated I made a carrot cake as a) the hens are on laying overdrive and b) it's my favourite sort!
