Transplants

Can you spot the things I brought to my house from my mom's? Her house officially belongs to someone else now. Not the hose, not Longshanks, and not any plants. I found the flag in a box of fabric upstairs, took the bamboo pole from her garage, and stuck it in a (not shown) stone umbrella holder that was in her back yard. Also now residing in my front yard is the stone pagoda and a glass case full of rocks and shiny bits (by the pole).

I feel happy to have these items but a little treacherous, too. This week she has been back to wanting to go home, and it seems a little harder to cajole or distract her out of it. Yesterday she accused Paul of stealing her keys, and she asked him what he was doing with "her" dog. Longshanks, of course. I know others have it much worse with anger issues and failing physical health in their loved one, so I try to appreciate what's upbeat and still very funny about my mom. We can still have some good chuckles.
