Gorse

"When Gorse is in bloom kissing is in season".
In the U.K. there is a variety of Gorse in bloom in every month of the year so we are always free to demonstrate our affections.
Gorse is a wonderful landscape plant much appreciated by many photographers. It also has a long list of traditional uses which are detailed in Richard Mabey's Flora Britannica.
It can cover significant areas. But fortunately it rarely causes a nuisance unlike in New Zealand where I believe it is often looked upon with the same horror which we keep for Japanese Knotweed.
